Sky Islands

描述
Adds an extra layer to the planet, between the surface and orbit: sky islands.

Like asteroids, sky islands are surrounded by impassable sky terrain and made of vacstone. Like surface tiles, sky islands have a biome, regular temperatures, weathers, and oxygen. They even have animals! Birds will periodically land on them.

You can land on them using transport pods, shuttles, or your gravship.


FAQ

Save game compatible?
This affects world generation, so no.

Modded biomes?
Sure, but I need to blacklist specific biomes in code, so let me know if you think a specific modded biome shouldn't appear, preferably with its defName.

Ancient Dangers?
As with regular maps, only on 25% of maps. In addition, they will likely be buried in the central rock formation when they spawn.


Compatibility

Medieval Overhaul: MO's mineable resources and gemstones appear on the island; no steel appears.


Changelog

v1.2: added a mod option so that Sky Islands are made of regular stone types instead of vacstone.
v1.1.2: fixed an issue where world generation would not create ocean tiles.
v1.1.1: fixed the Gravship starting scenario not working properly.
v1.1: fixed an XML issue, blacklisted some Alpha Biomes, bugs and ancient dangers can now spawn.

Is it intended that most sky islands generate in parts of the world that didn't generate? I have the world set to 50% generated and most of the sky islands are on the half of the planet that is just ocean
It's a great idea, but it's a bummer if I can't actually reach any of the sky islands

same issue as dauntless from about 2 weeks ago. Most of the UI is gone, and none functional. Can't even click the console to fly away. RIP that run =(.

Still gonna use the mod, jsut gotta make sure i remember to not go to bed, parked up on one with my grav ship

I can use Sky Islands and they operate correctly

IF

I start on an island and manually set their "elevation" to a correct value inside of "Orbital Layers"

Otherwise all other Sky Islands are unreachable, they generate;
but are just pretty icons in the SKY ;)


I adore this mod and would greatly appreciate your attention to this issue ...

Planet Layer Avatar_SkyIslandsLayer missing proper LayeredAtmosphereOrbitDefModExtension.

Can continue playing without issues, but ask developer to add it with patch.
Layer is from mod Sky Islands [metalocif.skyislands].

love the mod! however it doesn't seem to work with dubs minimap. nothing gamebreaking, it just throws a red and the map is only white.

Is it normal that gravships have a massively increased range in the sky island layer? a ship with the max amount of small and large (but not double) thrusters can cross the entire world just by taking a detour to the skylands.

Cool mod, had an issue where some vagabonds that arrived in pods couldn't leave forcing me to fail the quest, but otherwise works fine
