Have been having a lot of fun with this mod and the facelessman xenotype! only wish the hediff for the leader wasn't just "queen", something like Primary Node, Neuralweaver, or borrow the flavor text from whatever is in the ideology ruler title, other than that, heaps of fun..

the fact you can force assimilate, turning a previously useless pawn into a basic drone is a interesting approuch, that, paired with alpha genes where you can create pseudo-shamblers, easily accessible with the facelessman xenotype mod, you can easily create your own army.. it was cool when they could just lose it and get confused, especially if you turned them into pseudo shamblers

I love how much such a simple design mod can change so much in ideology.

@Macal Media @QuarianRex I've been thinking about this, so I add a new ability to froce assimilate, but there are some side effect, of cause, you can close the side effect in the mod setting

Similar sentiment on the drone conversion ritual. 20 day cooldown while suffering non-hive mood debuffs for the whole colony is a showstopper. If you can't reduce the ritual cooldown (not sure how that works) perhaps consider adding an additional conversion ability to the queen on a 2 day cooldown or somesuch.

That way, the Queen is responsible for actually growing the hive while the ritual is a supplemental option to kickstart a new hive.

can we get a cool down slider in the mod setting cause 20 days is crazy

Update, now AI faction will generate drones, added surgery to remove drone heidffs

@Bastard This is what I said "If you found that your queen haven't the hediff for queen, you may probably just need to use the special differentiation ability to one of your drone, I conducted a preliminary check to add the hediff."

My leader has "not part of the hive" mood debuff. Do I need to assimilate a drone and then make them the leader? Is the leader default part of the hive mind?

Perfect for my techpriest with army of servitors run. Good ol' lobotomization + hive mind protocols.

When I saw the icon I though "this is very much a Stellaris reference", and then I saw the Devouring Swarm premade ideo

this is amazing and I am going to give this a wholesome award. this mod is wholesome.
