Welcome to NOT CITY 17!!!

This is a map based directly on an old piece of Half-Life 2 concept art purported to have been made before the Combine were fully thought of, taking place in what is described as a "Prague-Like Alien City" that was ran by a conspiratorial alien spy race similar to the G-Man with a Citadel in the middle. This level is planned to appear as a chapter in the upcoming mod Mystery Combat Man 4, which will greatly expand on this location with several more maps on the way. Community reception to this map has been good enough for me to want to make a sandbox version of this map for people to run around in as MCM4 has been taking a very long time. And, in true Half-Life 2 Beta fashion, this map is hilariously unoptimized. Enjoy!

There are a couple of enterable buildings and the map is fully noded for NPC navigation. Behind the map and to the left of the tunnel you will find 2 buttons, one that plays the MCM4 Original Soundtrack composed for the chapter's intro, and a button to DELETE THE TRAIN. KILL THE TRAIN, KILL IT.

Yeah I'm still trying to figure out why that's going on. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know so I can update this

Be aware, that this map breaks something within the game, so there appear white squares like this "⍂" under the sources of light at every other map.

Just delete this map to solve the problem.

downloaded your map and can confirm the materials and models aren't packed in the bsp, i highly suggest you pack the files in the bsp using VIDE or pakrat (i personally still use pakrat, i never got VIDE to work properly but its your choice)

@Sgt Stacker regarding issues with light sprites, did you publish the map with materials and model textures or did you pack them all into the bsp? these materials will conflict with similar named materials from gmod and cause weird issues, it can be fixed by packing everything into the bsp or just renaming the materials that cause the conflicts to your map's name...buut this solution is lengthy so i recommend packing instead

Just adding onto reports below, but yeah, the light source sprite problem seems to source from this map. Have no idea what could even cause it. :(

The ambience on the map is really loud. Would be nice if they were turned down a bit
