Nice-o-sphere

描述
For when you love your happy little murder-ball and want to keep it around for longer. Along with some training to help cut back on those occasional kill-everyone-on-the-map zoomies.


Options



  • Never Unstable stops Nociospheres becoming unstable
  • Always suppressible means they can be suppressed even if unstable.
  • Max Activity keeps the activity level down even without suppression
  • Frenzy Duration control how long the sphere is active when it goes on a murder-spree
  • Cooldown is how much post-murder sleep is needed
  • Don't target colonists stops Nociospheres from attacking your colonists/turrets
  • Pain aura radius lets you adjust the distance around your spheres.

Are you insane! That's a wild entity, you can't just keep it around like a housepet!

Not with that attitude you can't.


Can this mod be added mid-playthrough?

Yes.


Can this mod be removed mid-playthrough?

Yes. I highly recommend building a strong emotional bond with your Nociosphere before doing so otherwise it will suddenly remember it was meant to go on an unstable rampage.


Why are my own turrets shooting at my pet Nociosphere when it activates?

Jealousy. Definitely not because my first attempt at changing this was a complete and utter disaster.

Came here looking for any hint as to why my nociospheres have suddenly become unkillable (health won't go below 5%), and although I didn't find a solution, I instead got a good laugh, which is at least as valuable, so thanks for that :-).

call me crazy but this would be amazing if it was actually just its own seperate orb (like companion cube colored) and would freak out/have a battle with the evil orb if they meet >:3 alas the idea is out of the scope for this mod, but imagine it :3

@aliveinyourmind you can technically install this mod without Anomaly, since the nociosphere code is part of the core game dll and not having the DLC just stops the sphere from having any way to spawn.

But I'll add the dependency since it's rather useless in that case.

This mod has one of the best descriptions and header images I've seen in the history of Rimworld. XD

Question -- If you get the time, would you consider adding a new ritual so we can summon ourselves a cuddly little deathball? Mine ran away after after... enthusiastically defending... the colony from Randy's shenanigans one day, and I miss the lil' fella. (If he was worried I'd be mad about the colony's favorite couch that got vaporized, I forgive him!)

@Sukmyfukncaulk there's no way I know of to heal it (other than dev mode/cheating-type mods) but if I can figure out a way to add healing I'll do so.
