The dm_dazzling map is based on a bomb defusal mode competitive map launched by Counter-Strike Online on June 22, 2009. Taking Hong Kong's night markets as its design prototype, when night falls, dense neon lights bloom brilliantly like a galaxy of stars. Together with the bustling streets teeming with traffic and rows of closely packed shops, they outline an extremely prosperous night scene, forming a layered and three-dimensional combat environment. Players can launch attacks or set up defenses from vantage points such as building exteriors and vehicle tops, while also utilizing winding alleys and multi-level spaces for tactical maneuvers.

Though originally intended as a bomb defusal mode in the original game, the map was actually changed to team deathmatch due to engine limitations and optimization issues. This creation also draws references from the "Hongqiao" map in Battlefield 4 and the bustling nighttime scenery of real Hong Kong's old urban areas. Its vivid presentation of Chinese elements remains regarded as a classic by some players to this day.
