Distraction's Genes

Yay! Rejoice! It's another gene mod named after the person who made it! Woo!

I really didn't want to name it after my steam username, but it really is just a set of genes that i wanted, but didn't want all the extra ♥♥♥♥ in other people's gene mods that had some of the genes i wanted.



genes to disable recreation, comfort, beauty, and indoor/outdoor needs, because Genes+ didn't get updated in time

also added a gene that completely disables mood, which gets rid of all thoughts but doesn't (appear to) have any effect on needs that aren't disabled.

note: i tried to disable the ate without table and soaking wet thoughts if you've got comfort disabled but i couldn't work it out and i still refuse to use c#


a suite of genes to improve (or worsen) melee and ranged accuracy, aiming speed, and attack cooldown, because MSG didn't update in time


even more extreme immunity gain and wound healing genes, plus extra toughness genes, and pain threshold genes


webbed fingers gene that's basically webbed phalanges without the manipulation penalty, and vacuum sealed so your pawns are almost completely impervious to vacuum without needing any gear (haven't checked if they actually go outside without gear because i already did the mechhive once and i don't care for it)


new gene category above aptitudes, currently only got genes for global work speed. this is the category i'll add the below-mentioned genes to when/if i get around to making them


at some point i intend to add some more genes that are like 'profession specific' so like a gene that gives bonus to shoot and animals and improves hunting stealth, you know? haven't gotten around to that and i'm not really in any hurry
