Since the shooting system in version B42 has been completely reworked to closely simulate real firearms, it no longer uses the clunky aiming mechanics from B41. So the old aiming methods from B41 are no longer applicable.
At this point, I don’t have any intention to modify the new shooting system.
As for shotguns, the official settings in B42 are already quite close to how real shotguns work. This mod only changes the spread purely for entertainment purposes.
Other firearms use single-projectile ammo and don’t have the same kind of spread behavior as shotguns, so I don’t see the need to modify the spread for all weapons.
Regarding ballistics, the B42 update has already fixed bullet travel distance issues — you can even hit zombies over 100 tiles away now. It all depends on the player's aim and the character’s aiming skill level. So again, I don’t really see a reason to make changes in that area either.
The user 十叁 made a mod called "Shotgun Trajectory" that solves this issue with a controller, but ONLY with a shotgun/sawed off. Pistols and Rifles are unaffected by his mod.

I WISH someone could make a mod that made guns exactly the way they were in b41. It'd save me a lot of typing.
這個是B41版本的哦,你是用B41版嗎?!
I'm modifying all ranged weapons by multiplying their original shooting range by a certain factor, then writing the updated value back into the weapon data.
This generally works for all ranged weapons, but some mods don't follow the official weapon property conventions when creating items, so those might not be recognized as ranged weapons. That’s outside the scope of what I need to handle.
