DESCRIPTION

In January 1968, during the Tet Lunar New Year holiday, North Vietnamese Army (PAVN) and Viet Cong (VC) forces launched an unprecedented, coordinated offensive across South Vietnam. Over 84,000 troops struck more than 120 cities, towns, military bases, and provincial centers—including the capital, Saigon . One of the largest and most audacious campaigns of the war, the assault unfolded just as US and ARVN units observed Tet, expecting a ceasefire.


US and ARVN troops responded with helicopters, jets, tanks, and infantry. The chaos of the offensive quickly turned to resolute counterattacks: cities were methodically retaken, and major battles such as Bien Hòa, Long Binh, and Tan Son Nhut airbase were successfully defended, inflicting heavy casualties—often hundreds killed—on PAVN/VC forces


This mission unfolded shortly after the initial phase of the Tet Offensive and marked the moment when US and ARVN forces began to reclaim lost ground. Through combined arms—including airpower, armored units, and foot soldiers—they gradually pushed back the attackers and regained control of besieged cities across the country.

Thanks for your comment! I've updated the mission: the infantry squad has been replaced with the correct pilots, and I’ve raised the spawn points for helicopters and jets for both factions.

I know this might seem rude, but
the planes in this mission don't even take off properly and
quickly crash to the ground.
It might be a good idea to move the spawn point a little higher.
Also, for some reason, the F-14 crew is assigned an infantry squad...

But this mission is fun,
and the map is really great.
