描述
🧭 T-26 Tank – Overview and History
The T-26 was one of the most widely produced and used Soviet light tanks of the 1930s, developed from the British Vickers 6-Ton tank. The version with the cylindrical turret appeared after 1933 and became the most recognizable and standardized model.

🛠️ Design and Features
Early T-26s had twin turrets, but the cylindrical single-turret version with a 45 mm gun became standard.

It was simple, reliable, and relatively easy to produce, though slow and lightly armored.

Designed mainly for infantry support, not for fast maneuver warfare like the BT series.

⚔️ Combat Use
The T-26 saw extensive combat use:

Spanish Civil War (1936–1939) — supplied to Republican forces

Sino-Soviet conflict (Battle of Lake Khasan, 1938)

Winter War (1939–1940) — against Finnish fortifications

World War II — used in large numbers during the German invasion in 1941

Though obsolete by 1941, it was still used due to the massive quantity produced — over 11,000 units.

🔧 Notable Features
Effective 45 mm gun for its time.

Cylindrical turret improved internal space and armor angles.

Weak armor and low speed made it vulnerable to modern anti-tank weapons by WWII.

Some models had flamethrowers, radios, or additional armor variants.
