SE Inlandsbanan Y41 Lint

The Y41 motor cars were manufactured by Alstom in 2001-2002 and are of the LINT 41 type, i.e. 41 metres long. Alstom has also manufactured shorter and longer models with one or three cars in the LINT series, and has also developed a hydrogen-powered variant, iLint. One of the railcars was presented to the press in Sweden in the summer of 2019. During the winter of 2020, it was used on several regular services on the Mora-Östersund route. The plan was to put the trains into service on the Inlandsbanan railway in the summer of 2021. However, the refurbishment was delayed and, among other things, uneven weight distribution has meant that the start of service has been postponed.

This vehicle was deliberately designed with increased pixel density on the side surfaces (e.g. 14px instead of 8px) – for greater visual depth, clearer lines and a realistic effect.
HighPix Rail stands for attention to detail and an alternative sense of style in the NIMBY Rails workshop.

I deliberately mod against the grain because visual diversity is just as important as creative route planning. 🙂
