BTO ( RANK 1.8 ) ( 🇩🇪 Germany (1933-1945)) (Anti-tank mine) (Tellermine 35)

描述
Tellermine 35
Tellermine 35 (T.Mi.35) was a German anti-tank mine used extensively during World War II. It was introduced in 1935 and remained in service throughout the conflict, particularly during the early and mid-war years. It was later succeeded by simplified versions such as the Tellermine 42 and Tellermine 43.

Design and Features
The Tellermine 35 had a circular, metal body with a large, central pressure plate on the top. It was designed to detonate when a heavy vehicle, such as a tank, applied pressure to the top plate. The mine could also be fitted with secondary anti-handling devices to prevent tampering.

Type: Anti-tank mine

Origin: Nazi Germany

In service: 1935–1945

Weight: 9.1 kg (20 lbs)

Explosive content: ~5.5 kg of TNT

Diameter: 318 mm (12.5 in)

Height: 102 mm (4 in)

Operating pressure: 90–180 kg (200–400 lbs)

Fuzing and Activation
The mine was typically armed with a T.Mi.Z.35 pressure fuze, which was inserted into the central well of the pressure plate. When a vehicle drove over the mine and applied sufficient pressure, the fuze would trigger the main charge. The mine also had two secondary fuze wells on the side and bottom, which could be used for anti-handling devices or command detonation setups.

Deployment
Tellermine 35 was deployed in large numbers by Wehrmacht engineers across all major theaters of World War II, including the Eastern Front, Western Europe, and North Africa. It was often buried just below the surface or camouflaged with soil or foliage.

Variants and Successors
The Tellermine 35 was followed by:

Tellermine 42 – a simplified and more cost-effective version.

Tellermine 43 – further simplified for faster wartime production.
