This is a small mod that tweaks how the tribal AI builds buildings in an attempt to make it smarter.

In vanilla, the AI priorize highly the hillfort and the market town while looking down on buildings like the warcamp or the training range, and the steppe stable (horse archers), a defining feature of altaic cultures has the lowest weighting along with the desert stable. This is not even necessary to help tribals feudalize as rulers that want to turn their tribal holdings into forts (or cities) will value the hillfort or the market town higher.

This mod smoothens it out and puts a bit more emphasize on prestige buildings producing troops in an attempt to let the AI build a broader range of buildings more reliably and more generally have more troops.

This mod does not alter the willingness of the AI to actually build buildings and some rulers will still be reluctant to build anything but there's no obvious fix to this behaviour.

Compatibility:
Only mods that modify or replace tribal buildings will conflict with this mod.

I'm not sure how that mod is built but that should cause conflicts.

In practice this mod overwrites the tribal buildings, except for culture buildings, which is one source of major conflict. How desirable a building is is set for every building. Depending on which values Flogi set for his buildings relative to mine, the vanilla or mod buildings may be (excessively) favoured.

Would your mod work with Flogi's Buildings & Technology Mod? Like would the tribal AI utilize building with that mod active

yeah the artificially intelligent rulers mods so far seem like they are VERY good ideas

Some rulers still farm and refuse to spend prestige for some reason.

Some AI changes are easy to test but I have not found a good way for this specifically. I believe the mod has a positive impact. If anything the AI won't prioritise bad buildings however I would be interested in feedback on this mod.

I just saw your post in the discussions tab; I had no idea tribal ruler buld-priorty was so janky. Guess that answers why I regularly see tribals with thousands of prestige lmao. Ty for making this, I will definitely be using it!
