What you describe is that, in LF2 when you create private lobby, it will then open an command prompt (CMD) in the bagground. This is the server.
You will also have another LF2 window apperaing, where you can see your lobby, and the players connected.
So basically, it works as it should in LF2, if you see the lobby Window. (Blue)
If the LF2 Blue Window Lobby window does not appear, check if it's behind the main LF2 window.. :P

As for Radmin VPN, you create a lobby there first, where your friend will join, before starting the LF2 server, ingame. :)
Also, could you explain what exactly I have to do?
Because every time I click Start a Private Server, a console window opens, but not a lobby. Im confused ..
