The Immortal Snail

adds a smart but dangerous snail

IMPORTANT

TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE SNAILS CHASING A TARGET YOU MUST HAVE ANOTHER SNAIL TOUCH THE TARGET BEFORE THE COUNTDOWN

IS THIS MOD SAFE? yes it's completely safe. I removed an unused resource that was causing the mod to be flagged as suspicious. Even so it is still being marked as suspicious because it creates files on your computer. Which are for storing the snail memory and saving the configurable settings. They all can be located in the people playground mods folder

What this mod is about:


This mod is based off the viral immortal snail hypothesis back in 2014. Where you are given 10 million dollars and made immortal but an immortal snail chases you for eternity and kills you on touch. This mod is basically that — without the 10 million dollars.

The Snail: The Snail behaves like a normal object until a human touches it, then a countdown will start. Once it runs out, the snail will go towards the target at a low speed with the ability to accelerate in various conditions. It has an advanced AI system which lets it jump over objects and pass through objects by force, among other crazy skills. It also has an advanced memory where it records all the info it’s learned during the chase, making it progressively smarter.

Actions


Snail AI can perform a wide variety of actions depending on their situation:

AggressiveJump: High vertical leap over big obstacles or if the target is up high.

CautiousJump: Small hop for minor barriers.

SpeedBoost: Temporarily increases speed.

FlankLeft / FlankRight: Moves left or right around obstacles.

SeekHighGround: Finds vertical advantage for better positioning.

PredictiveMove: Predicts where the target is heading and intercepts.

EnvironmentalExploit: Uses surroundings like platforms or objects to outmaneuver.

Shortcut: Takes faster routes.

Ambush: Cuts off target.

RequestAssist / ProvideAssist: Calls for backup or helps other snails.

CooperativeClimb: One snail boosts another upwards to climb over tall obstacles.

PropelAssist: One snail launches another forward with a push for more speed or distance.

WallBashAssist: A helper snail charges into a wall or obstacle to break it or create an opening.

LiftAssist: One snail physically lifts or helps push another snail upwards (like a mini throw).

TunnelAssist: Snails team up to bash or dig through small cramped areas or tunnels.

Configurable Settings


Accessible via the Snail Settings spawnable, you can tweak:

MoveSpeed: Base movement speed.

Countdown: Time before a chase starts.

JumpForce: Multiplier for jump strength.

Acceleration: Rate of speed ramp-up.

AccelerationSpeed: Maximum speed during acceleration.

AccelerationEnabled: Toggle acceleration system.

DestructionEnabled: Enable/disable object destruction.

SnailMass: Physical mass affecting force and impact.

LearningRate: Controls how fast the snail AI adapts to experiences.

High LearningRate = learns fast but stays dumb, forgets stuff quickly.

Low LearningRate = learns slow but gets smarter, remembers better over time.

Every snail is born with a random personality factor (0.2 - 0.8):

Higher values make them more cooperative and prone to assist.

Lower values make them more independent and selfish.

Influences how they respond to help requests or assist others during blocks.

Saving & Reset


All data (settings, AI memory) is saved in .json files in the People Playground Mods folder.

You can wipe all AI learning with the Reset AI option in the settings.

For some reason, when I touch the snail on the test subject, the snail does do the countdown. If I press "S" it will show "Snails:1" or something

@Uranium, I have an idea, when the snail notices that there is a roof above him... and the human is above the roof, it will scan the area for any other objects in sight to use
