The mod adds new genes and an oryx xenotype to the game.
Oryx is a feathered xenotype that has inherited traits from ancient bird species. Their bodies are covered in lush, colorful feathers, and their arms have been transformed into wings that can lift them into the air for short distances. Their bones are hollow and light, which makes it easier to take off, but makes them vulnerable to injury. They move on clawed feet, which are less suited to fine motor skills, but are reliable in rough terrain.
Their voice sounds like a chirp, whistle, or croak, and food is absorbed through the beak, which makes the process less efficient compared to a normal human.
Thanks to their developed social mimicry, oryxes easily adapt to the behavior of others and quickly fit into new groups. Instead of giving birth to live young, they lay eggs, caring for them until the offspring hatch, and their respiratory system based on air sacs makes them extremely hardy when running and flying.
Ideal for reconnaissance and moving across difficult terrain. However, their fragility and difficulty in precise manipulation limit their combat and engineering effectiveness.
