You can find plenty of related tutorial videos on YouTube.
In addition to checking the official Final Fantasy XV mod tool documentation,
you might also look up “[Modder’s Resource] Mega Guide to Modding Final Fantasy XV.”
It’s an older guide, but still quite useful.
When you first replace a game character with just a simple cube, that’s when your world truly begins.
You’ll realize then that many people simply never took that very first step.
and it takes even more patience when you’re asking others to spend their time on it.
That’s why I recommended trying to do the porting yourself —
you can turn the waiting time into the joy of learning how the tools and software work.
It’s a bit like the childhood feeling of making your own toy — truly delightful in its own way.
If you have some free time while waiting, you could look for tutorials to start with.
And though I’m not sure if the person I saw posting on Discord was you,
I did notice someone there willing to talk about modding.
Having people who can answer questions directly will make the learning much easier, especially compared to having to rely on translation tools and switch back and forth all the time — it can be quite tiring.
In any case, best wishes.
so in frustration I left the group. I will just have to find someone on steam willing to take my requests for free to get characters of my choice
All of the models were created by the original development team.
As for the tools, tutorials, and other resources I use — they all come from the generous, unpaid contributions of others on the internet. It would be unreasonable for me to accept such kindness freely, yet turn those very efforts into something for personal profit.
Besides, what I did was merely a very simple and minor adaptation — just a few clicks at most. I have absolutely no right to charge for something that belongs to others.
As someone who also seeks out mods myself, I completely understand your needs and enthusiasm. However, it would be more appropriate for you to make such requests directly to the original mod creators.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
