描述

For some reason, when sprinting in Gmod your footsteps sound faster than in Half-Life 2, which also makes it a bit awkward when using player speed mods, since no matter the speed, the footstep rythm is still the same.

This addon is similar to HL2 Crowbar Hit Sound being just a simple script to fix a detail nobody noticed.

Script works better with a player speed changer.

Comes with a config menu for you to do your own stuff, that's about it.

you're right i might need to add an option for the ladder sounds as well

the only real issue is that the game always treats ladders as if you're sprinting, causing them to play faster/slower, depending on your sprint speed. other than that, this mod is flawless on my end.

thanks for this. I wanted Half-Life 1 footstep speed which is, coincidentally, the same speed as the Half-Life 2 sprint footstep speed, so I could use a Half-Life 1 footstep sound pack. also in the middle of making an E3 2002 footstep sound pack, and the E3 2002 version of Half-Life 2 had Half-Life 1 footstep speed. a small detail, but it makes all the difference in the ASMR for audiophiles.
