RJBH 広島西飛行場 Hiroshima–Nishi

広島西飛行場（ひろしまにしひこうじょう）は、かつて広島県広島市西区にあった地方空港です。1961年に「広島空港」として開港しましたが、1993年に新たな広島空港（三原市）が開港したため、「広島西飛行場」と改称されました。空港は市街地に近く、滑走路の延長が困難であったため、ジェット機の利用には制限がありました。その後、定期旅客便は減少し、2010年10月にすべての定期便が廃止されました。2012年11月15日に空港としての運用を終了し、以降は「広島ヘリポート」として、主にヘリコプターによる防災・救急・報道活動などに使用されています。
Hiroshima–Nishi Airport was a regional airport located in Nishi Ward, Hiroshima City, Japan. It opened in 1961 as "Hiroshima Airport," but was renamed when a new Hiroshima Airport opened in Mihara City in 1993. Due to its location near the city center and limited runway length (1,800 meters), it was unsuitable for large jet aircraft. Scheduled passenger services declined and were fully discontinued by October 2010.On November 15, 2012, the airport ceased operations and was repurposed as Hiroshima Heliport, used mainly for disaster response, emergency medical services, and media helicopters.
