Nuanced Child Raiders

Nuanced Child Raiders removes the malus from killing children due to child raiders, allowing you to defend yourself from a swarm of murder-hungry mosquitoes without consequence.

The mod also comes packaged with three Ideology precepts

Abhorrent

• Vanilla behaviour where any child's death is considered inhumane.

Respected If Guilty

• Non-hostile children are treated with vanilla behaviour, but raiders are fair game.

Accepted

• Friendly children are treated the same way as adult pawns, raiders are ignored just like with Respected if Guilty.

Players who play without the Ideology DLC or with ideologies disabled will default to Respected if Guilty.


"Is this mod incompatible with x"
Nuanced Child Raiders uses two transpile patches through harmony to include a small conditional method which checks whether the child is hostile or not, and whether the player is using Ideology and the aggressor pawn has Ideological beliefs so that the behaviour for each custom precept is accounted for.

Due to this, the only incompatibilities that will appear would be due to other mods using transpiler fixes on those specific vanilla methods, and due to how transpillers work it will only break if the third party patches are modifying the exact specific lines that I am also patching - a transpile patch for the same method (already rare as it is), but in a different area within it, will likely be compatible and thus produce no issues.

"Will this mod break my save if I remove it mid-game?"
You'll probably get a few red errors when first loading in a save that used to have the mod enabled, but I doubt it'll do anything more than that. If you're unsure of it, always backup your saves and test it out.


"Is this CE compatible?"
