The Melara-class destroyer is a balanced and refined warship, combining precision firepower with advanced tactical versatility. Armed with four Gladius-type rapid-fire turrets, two heavy railguns, and a single SRM (Short-Range Missile) launcher, it excels in both mid-range engagements and concentrated strikes against hardened targets.

To counter close-range threats, the Melara is outfitted with a robust point-defense suite, allowing it to effectively intercept missiles and strikecraft. For extended operational capability, it also features a launch bay for a Javelin MK IV drone, granting it reconnaissance and forward targeting support through the drone’s advanced radar suite.

Sleek and disciplined in design, the Melara-class fills a flexible role in modern fleets—capable of both escort and frontline duties. It reflects the strategic doctrine of smart aggression: delivering focused, coordinated firepower while maintaining strong defensive posture.
