NPC Combat Overhaul

描述
Note: You don't need to use Instant Aggression Fix with this mod. They have the same sensors & extra bone changes.

I overhauled the Human NPC Combat Actions. I wanted them to be more varied and try to give them the appearance of more intelligence . Sequences for advancing, cover fire, lookout, suppression, flanking, escape, evade, cover actions. They have some conditions that change them depend on fail chance percentages, distance to/from their target, and how much damage they been afflicted.

There have also been a number of updates since the original release:

NPC's Vision & Hearing Sensors:
Their vision has been adjusted to reduce their super soldier vision after losing their target. This way you can maneuver around them bit better. They'll hesitate after coming around a corner to reacquire their target. They'll also be tracking an overlapping ghost image of their target when they move so they don't have complete aimbot accuracy all the time.

Hearing ranges have been adjusted so NPCs have more realistic hearing ranges for different events. Such as Shots, moving physics objects such as cans, wrenches, etc...

Mutants Hearing & Future Plans:
Mutant hearing has been adjusted per type. Bloodsuckers will have better hearing for loud noises(Shots, Explosions) and mid-range for quieter sounds(Steps, Moving physics objects). Where as Deer or Tushkans are going to have less range for loud noises and more range for the quieter noises.

I have plans to overhaul their vision sensors so they're also unique and inspired by real life critters if possible. I also want to alter/add flair(smell) sensors. I think with the hearing range changes some of the vanilla smell sensors could be tuned down. Others could be added to balance with the vision sensor changes.

Mutant combat actions & Abilities:
I've done some experiments with Blind dogs, Controllers & Burers, but nothing quite ready for release. These will take longer to work through and complete.

Stealth:
Besides the vision adjustments mentioned previously. I've also split out the players bones that NPCs can target. The arms were single bones linked with the chest and the legs were each single bones. This appeared to cause NPCs to gain aggro fairly quick even when just seeing maybe a arm or a leg through a crack in a fence or wall. Now the arms & legs have upper/lower bones. The arms are also no longer included with the chest as single target. So you should have more time to react when being spotted through small openings or windows. They will still start walking towards you or to investigate further so you will have to adjust your positioning if you want to keep from being fully spotted.

This mod is now bpatched:
Using the new Cfg Patch method that was released S2 v1.6. Should be mostly compatible with mods updated for 1.6. There maybe some rare exceptions.

@Snub_Fighter Thanks for the help. I gave up and loaded my save before I arrived at the ISPF facility. Now they can't see me through that wall. You did a fantastic job with this mod, but STALKER 2 is STALKER 2 and it's still in alpha, haha. Maybe GSC will fix it by next year.

@Upiór Is this part of quest? Is the wall solid concrete no cracks they could get a glimpse of you through? If you have the compass/hud on do you see little red triangles in it before they fully aggro you?

And most importantly, I have my weapon silenced, but I still don't fire it because I know one of your mods changes the behavior of silencers. So I don't use firearms. I just stand against a wall, and no matter what I do, they find me and don't come at me; they just shoot at the wall. I can do some work, but I can't flank them because wherever I lean out after being detected, I get a headshot xD

I'm at IBCF, I'm behind the wall, although NPCs are moving, but I'm behind the wall, crouching and not moving, and after some time I'm found by NPCs, I'm also sure that no one can see me, there's no angle from the tower to see me, and there are no holes in the wall

@Upiór - Without knowing the scenario. Are you sure they're not hearing you through the wall? How far are you from them. What are you doing behind the wall? Did you just shoot at someone at that location? Throw a grenade? Sprint loudly?

This mod change a NPC Vision? If yes i have a question.
Why they can see through wall? I mean i know in orginal game still NPC are super soliders but i thought this mod can change it :(

Yes, there are a couple other versions on Nexus. One being a more Realistic Tuned Suppressor version and a Hollywood tuned version.

You can find it on this mods' Nexus page and I HIGHLY recommend it!
I've been using NPC Combat Overhaul pretty much since I got my hands on the game.
I love it!

@WindyBlod Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably create a couple optional addon to override so people can choose what they want to use in the near future and leave the main mod pak using the middle suppression values.
