Powers itself and refines basic raw material into essential basic resource compounds. Coal must go where its source block is, but the other inputs are interchangeable. The void suggests output, and a normal belt is sufficient to sustain item throughput.

If placing this without any graphite or silicon stored, wait to finish construction of the kiln and solar panels until some gets moved into the core. You can accomplish this easily by either 1) cancelling their construction and placing them down later once you have at least 16 silicon and 30 graphite, or 2) by pressing "E" (by default) to exit build mode and perform other tasks while waiting for materials to pool in, then press "E" again to finish what was left of the schematic. If you get stuck building something you don't have all the resources for and want to build something else in the vicinity, just click on the hologram of the block you wish to build.

Normally solar is considered a "bad" source of power - generally it is - but here those 2 solar panels are the difference between 100% efficiency of your factories and running 6 power shy. There are situations where you won't want those solar panels, but that's a judgement you can make if it's urgent. Another combustion generator or alternative external power network can work better.
