Crappy Video Camera

Handheld video camera swep that records really low quality videos with terrible crunchy audio and saves them to your garrysmod/videos* folder as webm. Found in the "Other" category in the weapons tab.

crapvidcam_bitrate 1-65536 (default 30)

crapvidcam_width 1-7680 (default 480)
Video resolution width. Must be lower than what you're running the game at (engine limitation)

crapvidcam_onlyaudio 0/1 (default 0)
Record JUST audio as .ogv files

crapvidcam_holsterstop 0/1 (default 0)
Stop recording after switching weapon

crapvidcam_fov 0.05-1 (default 0.5)
How much to zoom the camera in. Smaller number = More zoomed in

crapvidcam_deathdrop 0/1 (default 1)
Drop camera on death and continue recording until you respawn

crapvidcam_lockfps 0-60 (default 0)
If set to something other than 0, will lock your FPS to that amount when recording. Values under 30 require sv_cheats 1 (engine limitation)

crapvidcam_dsp 0-133 (default 38)
Which kind of distortion to apply to recorded audio. See this web page[wiki.facepunch.com] for a list of them.

Start/stop recording (With or without camera SWEP equipped)

Try going into Options, Audio tab, and set "Speaker configuration" to "Headphones". This seems to fix recording audio for some people.

It will only record your voice when using voice chat with voice_loopback 1.

An in-game "low bitrate" screen effect would diminish the appearance and file size of the recorded videos, which I find more important than the in-game recording experience. Sorry, maybe someone else could make that as a separate addon.

Low quality videos make the recording process easier for everyone. Smaller filesize, better framerate, simpler code. You can adjust the settings to make higher quality videos, but stuff will probably break.

This is a known issue affecting many mods, and I'm not sure how to fix it. Code-wise, it seems any sounds from IGModAudioChannel do not record on IVideoWriter. I have tried various silly things to try fixing this, but it seems a bit too deep in the engine for my limited skill. If you find a way to fix this, please let me know! :)
