If you're looking to complete this story smoothly, it's best to chat with Mateo first thing in the morning. He may ask you to speak with someone else on his behalf, and getting a head start will save time.

📅 Day 1 - Two Hearts Required
Chat with Mateo to kick off the quest! If you want to build a friendship - or explore a romance - be sure to pick dialogue that puts him at ease. He’s really stressed about Davi going missing, so let him know he doesn’t have to carry that weight alone. 💗

Mateo will soon ask if you can contact Phoenicia (the phone) and help spread the word.

🗨️ Davi seems to be a bit lost… maybe you could lend a hand?

➡️ Talk to Phoenicia and let her know it’s an emergency. She’ll understand, and she’ll make sure everyone gets the message so they can start sending tips. 📨📱

Mateo’s really grateful that you spoke with Phoenicia - leads are already coming in! 🧵

He’ll mention that Hoove saw something, and you can follow up if you’d like. Hoove is hiding in the closet in the laundry room. Feel free to say hi if you haven’t met yet!

✨ Optional: You don’t need to speak with Hoove. You can just start exploring the laundry room directly! 🧺👀

(Reminder: finding an inanimal is like an interaction with a dateable, so you won’t be able to claim it today.)

Quick one today! Head to the laundry room and check the windowsill where Harper usually hangs out. You’ll spot a little worm-like piece of string - go ahead and interact with it. 🪱🪟

Bring that piece of string back to Mateo. While it’s not Davi, it’s still a new friend - and Mateo is always happy to welcome more into his blanket family. 🧡

This time, you’ll get a response from Telly that points you toward the TV area. 🎮📺

📍 Head to the TV stand next to the console. There’s another inanimal waiting - but since you’ve already interacted with Mateo today, you’ll need to come back tomorrow to claim it!

Go back to the TV stand and interact with the inanimal beside the console. 🎮✨
You won’t bring it to Mateo today, but you’ll hold onto it until tomorrow.

Time to return the inanimal to Mateo! His rescue efforts are growing, and just like the first one, you can even help name this new little friend. 🐾💖

Mateo will mention that Stepford and Shelley heard rustling in the gym closet — sounds like another clue!

No need to talk to Shelley or Stepford unless you want to, just open the closet and check beneath the boxes. You’ll find tassel strings twitching underneath... it’s Davi! 🐕✨
Davi will hop into your pocket, ready to return to Mateo.

It’s time to bring Mateo and Davi back together - along with one more surprise animal. 🧺🎉

Mateo’s overwhelmed (in a good way!) to have Davi and Stitch safe and sound. If you’re hoping for a romance or friendship ending, choose the kindest, most supportive dialogue you can. Mateo needs reassurance that he didn’t fail the ones he loves.

💔 Going for a hate ending? Point out that he didn’t do enough to keep the inanimals safe.

This section walks you through one of the silliest (and most satisfying) ways to escape the house without ever touching the front door. It’s part glitch, part puzzle, and all fun.

Plus, there’s a bonus way to... uh, get hit by a car. 🚗💥
Let’s unlock some chaos!

• 🍽️ Head to the kitchen and open the trash can - don’t worry, it’s part of the plan! 🗑️✨
  
  
• 🧍‍♂️ Stand next to the drawer, open it, then quickly open and close your phone. This will pop you up onto the drawer top - glitch magic! 📱💥
  
  
• 🙇‍♂️ Crouch on the trash lid and gently scoot toward the window. Getting the angle right might take a second! 🪟🧭
  
  
• 🪄 At just the right moment, close the curtain and open your phone *at the same time* to slide behind the curtain. Timing is everything! ⏰🎭
  
  
• 🕺 Once you’re behind the curtain, stand up, walk backward, crouch again - and down you go! You’ll fall outside. Step back in through the door to finish up and unlock the Glitch City achievement. 🌳🏡🏆

The attic holds a few secrets and unlocking it is a small adventure of its own!

You’ll need a special key (yes, it talks), a good night’s rest, and a bit of teamwork between two dateables with very different personalities.

This section walks you through the steps to get that attic door open and poke around inside. Just be gentle with the dead plant. 🪴💔

• 🚪 Find the Door: Head upstairs to the very last door in the hallway and try to open it - it’s locked! Hmm... something’s up. 🧠🔒
  
  
• 👓 Consult Dorian: Equip your Dateviators and use RT (or your interact button) on the door. Dorian will appear and let you know - you’ll need a key! 🗝️🗨️
  
  
• 🧣 Retrieve the Key (aka Keith): Go to the office ➜ enter the storage room ➜ lift up the carpet (you’ve done this before!) ➜ crawl into the space and awaken the key himself - Keith! 💼✨
  
  
• 🛌 Sleep on It: You can’t use the key right away - Keith needs a full night to mentally prepare. Go to sleep and try again tomorrow. 💤⏳
  
  
• 🌄 Unlock the Door: Next morning, head back upstairs. Keith will reunite with Dorian and unlock the attic for you - teamwork makes the dream work! 🧣🤝🪄
  
  
• 📦 Inside Loot: The attic includes mysterious storage boxes, a dead plant (RIP 🌿), a window, a light switch, a box of games, a safe, and a blank canvas.

Sometimes the best way to succeed is to simply step out the front door. If you're excited to unlock both the Touch Grass and Speed Run achievements, all you need is a bit of patience... and a quick getaway.
