Due to my hard drive crash back in 2017/2018, progress on these mods has been halted, but I do plan on finishing them someday, so don't lose hope on that!

A VERY INCOMPLETE character mod that needs critique and suggestions.

This mod adds Professor Hershel Layton from the Professor Layton Series as a selectable character for Don't Starve.
This mod is both compatible for DLC and standard mode.

Professor Layton is a very refined english gentleman who loves solving puzzles, drinking tea, and... somehow wound up in the wilderness?

STATS:
Health 150
Hunger 150
Sanity 250

-Comes with a custom top hat. This top hat is very important to him.
- If he's not wearing it his sanity won't fair too well.
- A lot of borrowed dialog (Wickerbottom especially) but plenty of custom dialog as well.

If anyone has played the Layton games and have suggestions for better dialog please let me know!

WIP/future ideas
- Cave dialog is not fixed. I've never explored down there so currently it's the standard wilson dialog.
- I will probably eventually tweak the ANIM files to look nicer.
- Tea Brewer as a craftable item (after all, how can he be an english gentleman without his english tea?)
- Random gag items solely for reference to the Layton games.

I would LOVE to impliment puzzles somehow as an important factor when using him. If anyone has any ideas on HOW to do that please let me know!

Some of you may know I uploaded this to the Klei forums months ago but I guess I couldn't upload it to Steam because I didn't own Don't Starve (I've been using my sister's account), but now that I own a copy for myself I can upload them to my own account. Yes!

@Satan's Child Unfortunately. It's just been so long since I've done DST coding that I have to relearn it all again. Also I lost all my original work in progress art assets for their update stuff (because I wanted to give them HD art) that redrawing that all from scratch is kind of intimidating. I haven't lost interest in the project, though! It's just... on the back-burner. But if people are still interested I'll gladly try to update them again, even if it's just for my own pleasure.

So far, this is my favorite name character mod for either game. I'd love to see it completed (and updated for Shipwrecked!) If you could use any assistance on this front, let me know.
