Tokyu 2020 Series / 東急2020系

The 2020 Series (2020系) is a commuter EMU operated by Tokyu Railways since 2018.

-This mod also includes the 3020 and 6020 series, which are variants derived from the 2020 series.

A new generation commuter train developed in anticipation of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, the 2020 series was designed with the theme of familiarity and continuity with Tokyu's commercial developments dotted across it's network. The type is a "sustina" lightweight stainless steel car manufactured by J-TREC, and the technical equipment is based on the E235 Series. The 10-car 2020 series are deployed on the Den-en-toshi Line, replacing the 8500, 8590, and 2000 series, the latter two of which were not compatible with Tobu Lines. At the same time, the 7-car 6020 series entered service as rapid trains on the Oimachi Line to increase capacity. Later the same year, Car 3 was swapped out for a Q-seat reserved seating car, with the original incorporated into newly-built 2020 series sets. 5-car 6020 series formations have been built to replace older vehicles on Oimachi Line local services, these will enter service on 2nd July, 2025. Lastly, the 8-car 3020 series were manufactured as additional trains for the opening of the Tokyu Shin-Yokohama Line in 2019, which enabled through operations between the Tokyu Meguro Line and the Sotetsu network. In total, the number of cars produced is 353 across all variants, divided into 30x 2020 series, 3x 3020 series, 2x 6020 series 7-car, and 3x 6020 series 5-car formations. An additional 15 sets of 6020 series 5-car formations are planned to be built.
