"Why can't I just craft Welding Rods?"

You're a Metalworking pro, you made some metal crates, maybe a fence line but then it hits you—you're out of welding rods. AGAIN.
In a world where you can butcher zombies in full metal armor but not cut a steel rod into tiny sticks? Nonsense.

Enter this mod.
Now, with realistic ingredients and an advanced forge setup, you can craft welding rods by;

Shaping steel rods (Steel Rods)
Using molten glass as flux
Adding limestone powder as a shield
Binding it all with splinters (sawdust) as survival-grade cellulose
Dont forget your Chisel, Pliers, Tongs, and Hammer! Fire up that forge with some Charcoal and youll be ready to go!

Realistic? Check.
Lore-friendly? Check.
Balanced? Absolutely.

Because if The Indie Stone won’t do it... we will.

it kinda is that deep tho. it doesn't matter if its just a little thumbnail or an icon for something, because everything always starts small. using, supporting, and normalising a tool that is destroying the integrity of art is going to be really bad for everyone involved. artists will lose their jobs, and people will lose art. even if you have zero art skills whatsoever, i (and a lot of others) will respect you so much more for drawing and posting a crappy MS paint welding iron than we would for posting some stolen AI goopslop

Whether or not AI plagiarized some guy drawing a welder with a welding mask on holding some welding rods to learn how to make that image doesn't make this a double standard. Just don't steal the lua and scripts I put my time and effort into and post it as a mod in the workshop.
It's a thumbnail and its not that deep lil bro.

funny that you use AI that plagiarises artists for the thumbnail, but say that no one can repost your own work. what a double standard

You can find a lot of those in large warehouses DIY stores and workshops, even without this mod i need a actual modded truck with trailer to haul all of them on the map to my base and offload them, but i like the fact that i can now make them and not having to travel to every garage warehouse DIY store, ect ect.

this is a great idea because in my playthru these rods are impossible to find, in bulk which is what u need if u want to craft anything metal.
