8Z's Darktide Mobility System

Lightweight dodge & stamina mechanics inspired by Warhammer 40k: Darktide. Dodge, slide, and sprint to evade damage - no binds or extra content required!

Dodging: Press the jump button to dodge. You must be on the ground and moving sideways or backwards (not forwards!). This behaves like a sidestep or dash, quickly moving you in the direction while providing you brief invulnerability against damage.

Sliding: Press the crouch button during a dodge or while sprinting to enter a slide. Sliding carries you a short distance while giving you a chance to evade bullet damage.

Dodging and sliding both consume your dodge meter. If you run out, your dodges and slides will become less effective and provide no invulnerability. Stop dodging or sliding for a moment for it to recover.

Stamina: If enabled, Stamina allows you to evade bullets from the side while you sprint. If you run out of stamina, your sprint is slowed down, and you can no longer evade bullets. Sprint jumping also consumes stamina.

Limited Strafing: While disabled by default, you can turn on options to disable strafe sprinting and slow down strafing speed, for extra grimdark.

Type find 8z_dodge in console to find all serverside ConVars, or find cl_8z_dodge for clientside ConVars.
