As some of you may know, InclementDab, the author of Dabs Framework and the DayZ Editor added a button to the global main menu that is hardcoded to his personal Patreon. As much as I support that for the DayZ Editor, I thought that it's not ok to force that upon all server owners, especially because it can be confused with a server donation by players.

That's why I made a tiny mod called DabsDonationRemover.

Today he released an update of Dabs Framework that, amongst functional changes, made a change that broke my mod. That change has no functional reason, and I can only assume it was intentionally done to break my mod. So here's an updated version of DabsDonationRemover that works with the updated version of Dabs Framework.

I also decided to publish it in the workshop now.

On first start, it will create $profiles:DabsDonationRemover/DabsDonationRemover.json with these settings:
{ "version": 1, "debug_log_level": 1, "environment": 1, "show_button": 1, "donation_link": "" }

The first 3 options can be ignored. show_button should be self explanatory. donation_link can be set to any full URL. If empty, it defaults to https://childrenscancer.org/donate/

Has the dabs framework update changed anything in regard to this mod?

Yeah keep this mod. I just had a player last night report that they have been making donations to my server since april but I had no record of it. Turns out they used this dabs button. I wonder how much he's raked in with players who didn't know any better. Crooked business practise. :steamthumbsdown:

@thehippoz well I did the publish mainly because he told me personally that he would change the button so that it opens a menu that would list all mods that have something like DF_DonationURL configured in CfgMods configured, but then he just added those 3 lines. If he ends up doing what he told me, I will remove this mod from the workshop.

Really good thing. Got same thoughts, understandable such thing like he did only at Editor, not even on clients, it's making some people mistaken and like every server would be his. Thank you.

Run a different layout but I erased mainmenu.c to see what this was about. I saw the icon, clicked it, and there's dab =] I looked in his framework and he has a void you can simply override with the comment 'there you go guys'. Not really a big deal. You piss off dab and there might be some extra code put in the editor lol
