Update
This mod has been overhauled to make all items swatches on the existing clay brick items in game. All items that were separate objects are now hidden in the build menu and cannot be placed, but will still appear normally for all your saves that they exist on. This mod can now be disabled with modded items in your save; on reload they will appear as the default clay brick items.

Overview
Add new life to your builds with three new color variants for clay walls, floors and more!

Details
This mod adds three new color options for clay bricks in red, chocolate, and ebony. It includes 36 new build objects:
  • 3 floor tiles (clay brick, limestone block, and small block shapes)
  • 3 roof variants (colored clay tile, clay tile, and wood tile tops)
  • 2 wall patterns (clay brick and small block shapes)
  • 2 arch types (clay brick and limestone block shape)
  • 1 Window (clay brick shape)
  • 1 merlon (clay brick shape)

The new small brick is limited to walls, floors and arches as it uses a unique method of overlaying in game textures on themselves and not is not a new mesh.

All items have the same cost, stats, etc. as their base game equivalent - this is only a color mod. All items require unlocking clay brick making and will not be visible until you have acquired clay bricks same as the normal walls, windows, etc. Arches are unlocked with the architecture research, but also require having clay bricks.

Known Issues
Parts on the windows, walls, and merlons have original clay/limestone colors to them. For this I would need to learn how to use blender or an equivalent program to make a new object as the edits to those items/areas are not covered by the shader information in the json files. Sadly that's outside of my skills.

Disclaimer
Color will appear slightly different in game based on time of day and any re-shades (or equivalent) that you use.

@Maddrigan I think you missed the update notice at the top of the description. The code was overhauled for better stability and other features. I kept the old code in as legacy items so your builds aren't effected, but moving forward you just need to place the regular clay brick items, there is color swatches attached to them that you can customize with whatever color you want.

It seems to me this is not working with the new version of the game.
May you fix this please? I cannot reuse these so beautiful floor you added! (I can send you a screenshot on discord if you need)

Experimental. After i reloaded the save 3 times it worked like normal. I doubt it is your mod. my bad dude. Amazing mod btw my structures look 10x better thanks to you.

@ItsaCat are you on normal or experimental? I've been using them on experimental and haven't ran into this issue, but I can look at it further. They use the same code as the normal floors it's just hex code changes so that's really unexpected 🤔

Not sure what the issue is. When settlers are drafted they wont navigate to any of the floors tiles i build from this mod. i have to build a wall underneath and then they can navigate. All vanilla floor tiles work.
