The T-35 Heavy Tank (English: T-35 Heavy Tank [1], Russian: ТЯЖЁЛЫЙ ТАНК Т-35 [2]) was a multi-turret heavy tank developed by the Soviet Union in the 1930s.
The T-35 Heavy Tank was equipped with one 76mm tank gun, two 45mm guns, and five 7.62mm machine guns. It had a total weight of 50 tons and was powered by a 368 kW (500 hp) gasoline engine. The tank had a road speed of 30 km/h, a cross-country speed of 19 km/h, and a maximum range of 150 km.
Development of the T-35 Heavy Tank began in 1932, and it entered service with the Soviet Red Army in 1936. As the most technologically complex heavy tank of its time, the T-35 demonstrated the Soviet Union's strong combat vehicle production capabilities. It was fully retired in 1941, with a total of 61 units produced.
