No angled lasers through portals!
Minor photosensitivity warning!
Entry for Mikeastro's and PMaM "THAT PINK FIZZLER" contest where the map must focus on, well, that pink fizzler (it's a toggleable portal surface).
Difficulty: ~2/10 (it relies on your experience with that pink fizzler and bootstrapping)
The solution is a bit wacky but it requires no ninja moves, glitches (like clipping the laser through the fizzler using the cube) or tight angles. Making frequent saves is recommended.

So I got a bit silly with this one. It was originally more serious but when I discovered this interaction it slowly evolved into this. While it's unique, it's not very clean, but you sometimes have to create silly and wacky stuff ;]
Overall, I'm happy with this test, but don't hesitate to give feedback in the comments!

I was a little suspicious at first glance, but int turned out to be a fun gimmick map! :steamthumbsup:

This is conceptually very interesting, but holy hell is it annoying. Unlike others I never found myself to be in serious preaiming hell because I could just line the cube up with the tiles on the floor, but the constant flickering of the laser and fizzler was not only loud but also really obnoxious to work with. I thought this was cool, but I can't upvote it in good conscience.

Getting the first move to work was, as others have said, was a pain in the buttocks! But after that, the solution was quite clean :steamthumbsup:

@klaus.sfc01 I understand, things that can happen with gimmicks. I made a simple puzzle with it because I just felt like it, but I don't think I or anyone else would use this on a more complex puzzle.

I got a headache, from the laser- fizzler mess, not the puzzle difficulty mind you

A bit strange ( it wasn't clear to me that the portals would open for long enough on the fizzler to make bootstrapping possible ), but I enjoy a good gimmick map every once in a while when the presentation is concise enough, as it was here. Thumbs up.

@Mattchew Also, at first the walls were the portalable surfaces instead of the ceilings, but it got changed at some point to fix cheese. At the same time the map evolved a lot from there and maybe now I can figure out to bring the wall surfaces back .

@Mattchew Yes, this is the intended solution, preaiming hell is a good way to describe it . Also I'm doing right now a solution video to show my setup without needing noclip.
