Preview
A sudden unexplained rush of snow and frost brings your pelican down in a snowy mountainside on an alien ring world.

Description
This is my first real attempt at building a level from the ground up. Calling it rough artwise would be an understatement. However, I hope that someone can at least enjoy the gameplay on offer. If not, thanks for passing through and trying this out.

This campaign is the opposite of "polished". No ally or enemy dropships, no cutscenes, map design looked worse than a Halo 1 map, etc. I don't enjoy hating" when people spend their time making campaigns for others to enjoy but I'm going to give this a thumbs down so better content can be pushed to the top of the list.

I like both missions, they play well, I like the concept/layout and the encounters feels good. All you need is so make everything look good!

I think the opening of the mission does something really interesting by starving you of those longer range precision weapons, forcing you to have to move in closer for some of these fights. I think the encounters could use some punching up, but the map is very diverse and feels strong. The part with the button presented some confusing backtracking. I don't think the button detour is bad, I really loved the late chieftain. I think making those cave halls more distinct on a second layout pass would really help. The tank part was a bit troublesome. The fog too thick for the wraith hunt. That hill going down where the phantoms are makes hitting the ghosts frustrating instead of challenging. I liked the phantoms, but I wish there were more dynamic spawning enemy vehicles, like ghost following behind you. Some of the level spaces are a little too long here too, like I said in the second level. Overall I'd say it's far from boring though. I'm pretty excited to see what happens here.

This was really good especially when it opens up into tank combat.

Only problem is the garbage balancing. Im assuming its vanilla bungie tags which explains why Brute shots fire airsoft pellets at enemies and nukes at the player, why maulers cant even kill grunt minors up close, etc.

Gave me quarantine zone vibes, and I wouldve liked the enemy encounters to be set up at their camps hanging out, sitting by the fires etc instead of just facing the player ready for war. Idk thats just my kind of style.

I mean I dont have any clue on how to make custom geo, so what would I know.
