From my current testing the situation is as follows:

- loading saves works
- the items you already possess still work just fine
- fusing items works fine if the end result is an ancillary
- fusing grey and green coins will only give you an ancillary, no more items from those fusions
- if the end result is an item, fusing will only give you scrap, UNLESS you get lucky enough to get one of CA's new unique items. This is only possible when fusing blue and purple coins.

CA added the possibility to fuse blue(rare) items into new purple(unique) items to the base game, but added a failure chance which results in scrap and it seems like the fusing done in this mod always triggers it, so if you don't get one of the new unique items you always get scrap.

This is probably caused by the second change in the patch which is that items only give you the same type of item after fusing. So fusing two armors will always give you another armor etc. It interacts poorly with the coins as far as I can tell.

Anyway, you should be able to finish your ongoing campaigns, but no more fusing unless you want to get ancillaries or waste your money.

I probably won't be able to fix it anytime soon, if ever, but the mod's gonna stay up just as a convenience to whoever needs to finish their ongoing campaigns.

Imagine taking down mods and ruining people's ongoing campaigns. Couldn't be me.

This is a re-upload of the craft mod that got taken down for some reason. I had it around because I usually back my stuff up whenever I mess around with it. I don't think I've changed anything when I was tinkering with it, but let me know if there's something different.

I'm not gonna take this down unless the original mod comes back, although I don't know if I'm gonna be able to provide continued support once the main game gets new versions/dlcs.

Warning! This mod may transform regular, honorable and principled strategy game players into gacha addicts. I take no responsibility for this, use at your own risk.


What this mod does:

Adds a new button in the lower right corner of the UI (where the tech tree and other faction specific buttons are) that lets you buy a new type of item called coins. You can buy these one by one or in packs of 5 and 10, if you have the necessary gold. You can then fuse these coins in order to get new random items. There are 4 types, each giving you a different rarity tier of item once fused:

• Grey Coin - cost 500/2500/5000 gold for 1/5/10 of them, fusing two of these will give you a green(uncommon) rarity item

• Green Coin - cost 1000/5000/10000 gold for 1/5/10 of them, fusing two of these will give you a blue(rare) rarity item

• Blue Coin - cost 2000/1000/20000 gold for 1/5/10 of them, fusing two of these will give you a purple(unique) rarity item. This can include specific lord items that are normally unobtainable unless you play that lord. Want to run around as Archaon wielding Ghal Maraz? If you're lucky enough, you can.

• Purple Coin - cost 3000/15000/30000 gold for 1/5/10 of them, fusing two of these will give you a gold(crafted) rarity item. These can be real game changers, whether in battle or on the campaign map and range from powerful weapons like the Blade of Slaanesh and special tomes that will allow any character access to their specific magic school (use them on a dawi, they'll never see it coming) to items that offer bonuses on the strategic layer, such as reducing building times, improving relations with other factions or reducing upkeep. This can also include special ancillaries with their own effects.


There are a few more changes that come with this:

• In order for everyone(whether lord of hero) to be able to equip these items, the usage restrictions for them have been eliminated. It wouldn't do for you to get Ghal Maraz and then not being able to equip it because the character you want to use it on isn't Karl.

• Because of the restriction removal above, it is now possible to steal unique items from lords you defeat in battle, as long as they have unlocked them and have them equipped. For example, if Karl has unlocked Ghal Maraz and is running around with it, defeating him in battle will give you a chance to steal it, the same way you can steal regular items from lords you defeat.

• The amount of items you will have access to during a regular campaign will obviously increase, especially if you play as rich factions that can dump a lot of gold into buying coins. It can get to the point where the normal equipment slots feel too limited - as such, the equipment slots for every lord and hero have been increased from 1 to 3 and the number of ancillary slots has been increased from 6 to 10.

• On turn 2 you will get a dilemma pop-up where you can get a choice between some freebies. As a treat. You can choose between:
- 4 purple coins
- 2 purple coins
- A crafted item
- Nothing

So for anyone that wants to continue to use this mod, use the mod "Equipment Manager" by Sudkks in tandem with Better Craft Reupload. If you type in "Equipment Manager" it should pop right up as the first result (I don't know how to post links without it thinking it is malware, sorry). You will be able to access and purchase the equipment from this mod under the new Equipment Icon button in the top left toolbar, but unfortunately the fun of randomness will be gone. You will have to go into the Mod Configuration tool in the top left of the campaign screen and set the value of the discount to 1 (if you want the item for basically free) or 50 (which each item should be around 5000-6000 gold each, varying on the item). Hope this helps out as I really like this mod too, and cant play without it.

anyway to just remove scrap from the game?

Can legendaries and uniques still be obtained after winning battles? It was pretty rare but you could get them as drops. If the fusing part of the mod can't be fixed maybe the drop rates for uniques and legendaries could be increased so the items will still be accessible in game.

Another idea would be to change the coin shop so you receive random items of the chosen rarity instead of coins, but that would probably be a lot of work to implement.

Well I decided to try something and found out something interesting, the item shop 2 mod by NobunagaHiro allows you to purchase some of the items from this mod. 3 weapons and 2 in armors, enchanted items and talismans, don't know if this would allow Falx to do anything but it's a glimmer of hope something can be done, idk.
