Project DIO - 5.56 Katiba Rifle Family

The KH-2002 Sama is an improved version of the Iranian-built KH-2002 Khaybar, created by Iran's Defense Industries Organization (DIO). Built on unlicensed copies of the American M16, the KH-2002 platform is chambered in the standard NATO intermediate caliber, 5.56x45mm.

REACTION FORCES CDLC/NON-OWNERS COMPAT DATA IS REQUIRED

Project DIO looks to take advantage of updates and efforts made by Rotators Collective in their Reaction Forces CDLC to apply a variant of the Katiba 5.56mm with a 5.56mm-compatible magazine well, in order to better reflect its real life counterpart, the KH-2002 Sama.

The mod also includes a 5.56mm Type 115 for CSAT Viper usage.

This mod features variants of the Katiba rifle family used by Iranian CSAT, remade and rechambered in 5.56 STANAG. The default AR, shortened carbine, and grenadier variants have been remade with 5.56 magazine compatibility due to the updates made by Rotators Collective allowing this to be possible, albeit with installing their CDLC.

This mod also adds four new 5.56mm magazines, regular and AP variants, based on the short and long magazine models made by Rotators Collective, remade in this mod as 20 and 25 round STANAG mags.
