why 50%?? Because I think the effect can be overwhelming.
The blood pools shown in the GIF and image are the vanilla version blood pools you may have seen them on the dead survivors and the witch.

There are 2 types of blood pools that spawn.
Blood_bleedout (Large) if you are using the vanilla blood.
Blood_incapacitated (small) if you are using the vanilla blood.

Blood Pools spawn where the infected dies, not where there body lands. For example if a pipe bomb flings the body or a shotgun knocks it back, the pool spawns at the death spot or point of impact which can look off center.

Some custom campaigns have have weird geometry so sometimes the blood pools float more on custom camps than vanilla and again, some not all of them.

Like the Spitter acid, blood pools may not sit flush on uneven ground or odd spots (e.g floating slightly above ground or spawning on objects like chairs). It’s usually fine though.

Blood Pools have a harder height restriction, so they don't spawn mid air.
