Bomberman

Bomberman, the titular character from the Bomberman series of video games. Sprites are mostly from the very talented Super Smash Flash 2 team, with a mix of custom sprites made by myself. Sounds are also from the SSF2 team. Huge shout-out to PsnDth for help with the coding. Also features Final Smash!

– SPECIAL MOVES –

* Neutral Special: Place a bomb that explodes into a large cross shape after a delay. Hold the special button to move and jump around before placing the bomb. After the bomb has been set, it can be hit to knock it in one of four directions.

* Side Special: Throw a random bomb out of three options. Ice Bomb will freeze the opponent in place for a short duration, Wind Bomb will spawn a tornado that lifts the opponent up into the air, Remote Bomb stays in place and explodes once you choose to detonate it by using side special again.

* Up Special: Propel yourself upwards with a jetpack. If you hold the special button until you see the sparkling effect, you will travel a much further distance and be able to change the angle. Hitting the opponent during this move will launch them away, and allow Bomberman to act including being able to use another up special.

* Down Special: Spawn a block below that can be stood on. If this block is destroyed by Bomberman’s neutral special bomb, it will produce a random powerup that lasts until he is KO’d. Fire powerup increases the damage of explosion based attacks. Rollerskate powerup increases movement speed. Glove powerup will increase the power of some melee attacks.
