@MOMO yes i ever saw that in hotmod or MACE. What i've been thinking is airdropping support weapons which cant be towed such as MGs and Mortars. Also, Hotmod/west81 has airdropped paratroopers already

@BroDimm We can also use this code to directly air-drop a vehicle, which is quite simple. However, paratroopers have not been implemented because infantry cannot be neutrally spawned (the game would crash).

@powlinger IIRC, MACE has ability to call in tank drop from supply officer. Maybe can start from there

@Prowlinger Well... if you want to have soldiers parachute in, you would typically need to write a script event. This is usually found in campaigns or levels with a fixed progression (in other words, it modifies the map files to add script events, similar to AI airstrikes in conquest mode). At least for now, I don't have the capability to do this. I've tried to create a similar effect before, but it would cause the game to crash due to desynchronization in multiplayer mode.

Can you also create airdrop airborne? Frustrating they all walk in to the map when ordered. You should be able to drop them where you want and they parachute down :)
