BE DLC aka Crossrail Benelux Taurus

Founded in 2000, Dillen & Lejeune Cargo (DLC) was the first private railway company in Belgium. Since 2003, the company has also held the necessary licences to operate on the Dutch rail network. The company specialises in the transport of container block trains in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

In the region, DLC trains were used on several routes. The company transported container trains for BMW from Altenschwand via Aachen to Antwerp. Another container train took the DLC from Gremberg via Aachen to Zeebrugge. These transports are handled via the KBS 480. The third service takes the DLC from Rheinhausen via Herzogenrath/Aachen-West to Born in the Netherlands. Depending on the length of the train, the locomotive is transferred either in Herzogenrath or in Aachen-West. The journey takes place via the KBS 485.

After the Swiss Crossrail and DLC merged in 2008, the former DLC now operates under the name Crossrail Benelux. The new company takes over the transport of Crossrail trains within Belgium, which are taken to Aachen-West by Crossrail vehicles. Within Germany, transports from Berendrecht in Belgium to Regensburg-Ost are still carried out with Class 66 trains.

The locomotives of the ES64U2 series from Dillen & Lejeune Cargo (DLC) were mainly designed for use in Germany and Austria.
