Overseer, Church of Light has summoned you for the very special operation. You must infiltrate one of the captured Chaotic Worlds. It's one of few domains where Chaos energy has altered surface and habitats of the realm, turning entire domain into one of it's bases. We can't let Chaos continue exploiting such domains, however cleansing ritual requires the control over the place before it can be initiated. Our scouts and lesser seekers have confirmed our suspicioun - there are both Prime Beasts and Energy Crystlals present somewhere. They need to be removed from the surface of the domain. Until we are certain that it's safe, we won't be sending our Ritual Priests inside.

Make no mistake Overseer, while we do have this world captured, servants of Chaos and it's loyal followers can still enter and replenish the enemy numbers. Unfortunately, some members of scout and seeker group were lost while others perished in this damned place. We don't know the full details, so you'll have to investigate this too.

Church of Light has granted you access to the basics that you will need for exploration, Overseer. We can't send more troops or resources until you show us results. Demonstrate us your success and you will be properly rewarded. We will brief you the details of your mission once you've established yourself there.

Right, I had encountered the same situation with Pinkeye apparently vanishing, and I searched that entire Lair section. I'll try the save thing as well. Great map, of course.

Try doing save / load regularly. Game tends to go buggy after an 1 hour and doing save / load every 30 minutes or so does help a lot.

Pinkeye should be roaming somewhere in the base. I did add extra measures to ensure that bosses don't get upset or rebel so them missing out for some reason is game going crazy again.

I really like this map, but it seems bugged. Though I can kill and clear porkys base, I can only clear pinkeyes base because pinkeye is nowehere to be found, which means, the stone cant be destroyed. To get further in the game, I have to cordon off that stone with traps. I can get further but it is slow going. And god forbid I hit the escape key when the game asks me a script question.

Try to farm weak enemies and capture the shrine that passively generates points. From that point you can either push an enemy base or build a solid defense and keep killing invaders. There are also plenty of stuff spread around, you just need scout around.

The save/load thing worked out great; thanks for that.

Now, I'm just trying to figure out a winning strategy here; I can't just seem to turtle up because I'm not getting access to the higher-tier items (Garrison, Prison/Torture Chamber/Spirit Chamber), and I keep getting flooded by Level 6/7 enemies that tear through my Bombards and Wooden Doors faster than my un-upgraded Foundry can churn out parts.

Checks aren't every second, they are periodical. The large list of objectives is mostly a progress trackers. Those naturally don't tax the system much.

It is a bit more demanding because of number of units, though I massively reduced their count.

Doing a save and then load does solve this issue so if you experience extreme choppiness of FPS drop, do a save and then load, that should help a lot.

WFTO indeed is in a poor state when it comes to stability. Game really feels old and unable to meet demands of more crafty map makers. I myself have decided to put on hold 2 of unreleased campaigns because WFTO simply can't run them at stable rate. Even some of my previously released maps may struggle, especially if 1 hour mark has been passed. Game needs some serious ''improvements'' but sadly it will likely receive no such treatment anytime soon.

This map is very...ambitious; you've obviously honed your craft at scripting, but it seems you're reaching the limits of what the game engine can handle. Even from initial loading, performance is choppy--and looking at the long list of tasks on the right-hand side and imagining the checks that the game needs to perform every frame, it isn't hard to see why.

Here's hoping for WftO 2 and a more robust engine, yes?

Updated to v1.2.

Removed experimental Boss Buff Re-applier system as it was not working as intended and was instead making Bosses too strong.
Bosses now have a rebalanced and flat stat boost based on difficulty selected. ( They should be more manageable now ).
Fixed some Boss K.O tracking counter issue.
Added a new shrine for player to capture. While player has it under control, the specific resource will be gathered continuously.

Updated to v1.1.

Fixed missing Boss and Spawner scripts. ( F the Editor for not telling they were empty ).
Added bunch of weak enemies for player to ''farm'' upon.
Reduced the maximum cap of enemy units that can spawn per base.
Fixed errors in shield remover system. Now shields should remove correctly when their anchor is dead. ( F the Editor again ).
Increased rewards for killing all enemy units. It should be much easier to gather the required ''resource'' for aspect unlocking.
