Cat Tower

CAT TOWER! Good glory it's finally here on the workshop. This payload map came from a fever dream, and it absolutely shows. (In a good way, hopefully, ha) Set in a beautiful sunroom, on the ground, in a cat tree... slash, tower. What's not to love?

Originating as a, not even joking here, a Minecraft: Nintendo Wii U Edition map on a superflat world in 2022, it was brought to life and iterated on by the one and only Nick. And for the life of this map to get even crazier, it somehow managed to qualify for a TF2Maps Major Contest with absolutely MINIMAL changes. It was quite the miracle, that one. Sure, it didn't win, but come on, have you even looked at the promo shots? Cat Tower sets out to do one thing: Be one of the weirdest 'normal' TF2 maps ever released. And honestly, I think it achieves that in bucketsfold.

Featuring the REVOLUTIONARY and definitely-not-confusing design decision of having BLU defend and RED attack, death pits that are not only directly outside of spawns but also give you silly messages when you inevitibly get airblasted onto them, Sniper sightlines that would make a TF2 YouTuber either cry tears of joy or misery, and of course who could forget the ever-popular mousetrap that to this day still baits people into walking into it with the cheese. It's not perfect, far from it, but it's home.

This map is unapologetically chaos and I truly hope you enjoy it for that :)
