Item Sell Price & Buy Value

描述
Item Sell Price & Buy Value
An Elin mod that adds the selling price and buy value to every item's tooltip.

It will show:
  • The buy value (if identified)
  • The shop sell value (identified/unidentified)
  • The shipping sell value (identified/unidentified)
  • The vendor (sell to npc) value (identified/unidentified)

Identified/unidentified prices are different. So remember to identify your expensive stuff.
If the item has no purchase value, that line will not be shown.
If the item has no sell value, that line will not be shown.

Scales with negotiation & active deeds.

Not the prettiest, but it's functional :)
Let me know if you want to see anything else!

Config file
This is optional.
You can edit the config file for this mod which will allow you to format the text that is displayed.
The config file is located here (generated when you first start the game with the mod loaded):
\Steam\steamapps\common\Elin\BepInEx\config\li3.elin.itemsellvalue.cfg

There are 3 customizable lines. You can leave a line empty to omit it completely. You can include "<isIdentified>" in a line to make it so that line only shows when the item is identified. ex:
Line1 = Line2 = Sells for {shopValue} orens at your shop, or ship it for {shippedValue} orens Line3 = <isIdentified>Bought for {buyValue} orens
Note: If the sum of all variable values on a line is zero, the line will not show.

The variables are:
{buyValue}, {shopValue}, {shippedValue}, {npcValue}
Note: The variables are case-sensitive. If something isn't showing, double check your config.

* Changes will take place only when the game is restarted.
* Delete the config file to restore the settings to default.

I'm glad you figured it out! If it comes up again, I'll come back to your comment and add it to the mod description haha

Thanks for replying OP.

I figured it out. PSA for future Steam deck users, use Proton-GE for the compatibility layer.

This mod is still running good. Might be worth checking your logs.

%LocalAppData%Low\Lafrontier\Elin\Player.log

I'm not sure if there would be specific compatibility issues that might come up when using a Steam deck, though

Thank you! I appreciate the tidiness of this one compared to a similar mod I've seen.

Thank you! Yeah, I could add a way to configure what's displayed. I'll do that in a future revision.

As for your issue, it appears to be a bug in the base game (unmodded, as I tested without mods as well). In simple terms, the game uses a function to get the price. That function doesn't see all the equipment mods right away; but when that function runs, it brings those equipment mods into view. After that, the next time the game calls that function to get the price, it sees them and evaluates those too.

Thankfully, because of this strange behaviour and the way my mod is coded, my mod should always reflect the final value.
