(I.I.N.) Peregrine Class Superiority Fighter

Built to replace the lackluster Dagger Class Interceptor, the Peregrine Class Superiority Fighter proved exceptionally capable against the powerful fighters fielded by the opposing Atlesian forces. While lacking the mobility and range of a smaller, lighter craft, the Peregrine made up for this with it's exceptionally heavy armor, which could protect the ship against even some light capital weaponry fielded by Atlesian forces. The vessel also possessed something no fighter before it had; a jump drive capable of increasing the ship's minimum range to an impressive 126KM from support infrastructure. While the vessel's fuel is quite limited, it excelled at hunting other fighters and even saw some use as a light bomber. Overall, the craft was deemed a resounding success, as 80% of pilots who's craft suffered damage survived and were rescued. It quickly became one of the most widely adopted fighters in the IIN, second only to the light and cheap Dagger Class Interceptors it was designed to supplant.

The Peregrine sports an impressive armament consisting of 10 autocannons, 4 non-reloadable rocket tubes, and 1 assault cannon, as well as a turreted gatling chaser to defend the weaker aft of the craft. it weighs roughly 198 thousand KG empty, and is capable of lunar and planetary flight up to 1G. While it's fuel range is limited, the ship does possess an onboard hydrogen generator to refuel on the go.
