描述
Romolo began life as "Standardized Destroyer Design No. 1", developed as a destroyer designed to be easily manufactured and mass produced. Romolo was crowned the first ship of Batch A in 1941, and was finished and rolled off the slipway in 1942. She would be immediately sent to Goa to link up with the Italian Asiatic Fleet, finally relieving destroyer leader Adelchi of her services there. Romolo would immediately prove her worth, where her torpedo crews got a lucky shot on Japanese heavy cruiser Haguro, blowing a massive hole in the vessel, and forcing her to limp back to Truk. Romolo would serve as one of Giovanni da Verrazzano's escort vessels, and was present for superbattleship Ottavio Caroni's dual with Yamato during the Battle off Samar. Romolo would end the war without much else done, and she would be sold to Spain in 1948, where she was renamed "Blas de Lezo".
