The Imperial Census

描述
The aim of this mod is to tweak the demographic make up of the United Cities and several local factions to better represent the established lore of the populations and address a few puzzling omissions in the vanilla game. The changes are as follows:

First off, the Empire itself. The peasantry will have a more balanced mix of races and no longer be almost exclusively hivers. They will still be the most prevalent species (particularly worker drones) as per the 'immigrant crisis' described in United Weekly, but Greenlanders, Shek and to a lesser extant Scorchlanders will now be more visible amongst the cities poor population. Soldier drones will have a better chance of appearing among the UC military (at the expense of reduced odds for workers and princes), and Princes have a small chance of appearing in the ranks of the Traders Guild.

The Rebels have seen tweaks as well. Rebel Farmers will no longer be almost exclusively Greenlanders, with worker drones and Scorchlanders appearing among them in lesser but still noticeable numbers. Hive soldiers are slightly less prevalent among them but now much more common in the Rebel Swordsmen.

Bloodraiders and the United Heroes League both have similar rates of Scorchlanders joining their respective causes rather than being exclusively Greenlanders. (Roughly a one in five chance,)

A small population of Greenlanders has assimilated into the culture of the Crab Raiders, who were previously exclusively Scorchlander.

The Black Dog, Yabuta Outlaws and Skeleton Bandits are now equal opportunity employers of both races of humanity. Additionally, the latter has a super rare chance to include brainwashed south hive exiles in it's ranks.

Gameplay balance impact should be negligable, This mod is mostly for aesthetics. For similar mods I highly recommend Holy Scorchlanders by Gevurah and Skin Bandit Diversity and Inclusion Initiative by Hoser.

Please comment any constructive criticism, issues or suggestions you may have, I'm eager to hear them as I learn modding.

Bizarre indeed, most mods tend to increase character diversity rather than reduce it unless they're doing a gimmick like turning the HN into the modded goatman race (lol). Hope you get it figured out soon as I hate immersion breaking conflicts myself, and I appreciate the feed back!

It was showing up in FCS as them not being the possible races, though another mod I'm using brings back the cut samurai police sergeants and those guys were 100% greenlander and nothing else so...

definitely a mod conflict, thanks for checking so quickly for me. Though I have no idea what mod im using decided that greenlanders cant be cops in the UC i fixed it already. Great mod btw.

Okay so checking back in the FCS. Greenlanders were left at the vanilla 100 for the Samurai Police. So they should still show up in game, they're just not reflected in the change log since the value was never tweaked. They should appear at the same rate as Scorchlanders, but if for some reason they aren't then the only thing I could I could imagine would be a mod conflict. Are you consistently not seeing them in game by chance?

@brickhead, no that does not sound right. Let me check really quick.

Is no greenlanders as samurai police intentional or an oversight?

I'm delighted to hear that, and I couldn't agree more! There are so many small scale mods people have made that have a permanent place in my load order just for the immersion increase. Also, nice to see a fellow medic enjoyer! :medicon:
