Realistic Vanilla Weapons (RVW) [Experimental]

描述
RVW mod overhauls the characteristics of basic game hand-held and block weapons, making them closer to their real-life counterparts.


List of Changes:


• Tracer trails brightness has been increased for all of calibres up to 40 mm (Autocannon) Tracers are now visible at longer ranges.


• Missiles are now affected by gravity.


• Weapon accuracy and projectile dispersion for all of the weapon systems has been changed relative to their real-life equivalents.


• Reload period is removed for belt-fed systems, such as gatling guns and autocannons.


• Maximum range for all of the weapon systems has been significantly increased.

New range values:

Pistols:..........................750 m
Rifles:............................1 500 m
Gatling guns:.................5 000 m
Autocannons:................7 500 m
Missiles:........................25 000 m
Assault cannons:..........10 000 m
Artillery:.........................35 000 m
Small railgun:................50 000 m
Large railgun:................150 000 m


• Rate of fire for all of the weapon systems has been changed relative to their real-life equivalents.


• Initial velocity of projectiles for all of the weapon systems has been changed relative to their real-life equivalents.


• Explosive damage has been increased for missiles, medium and large caliber cannons.


• Armor-piercing properties for all of the weapon systems has been increased relative to their real-life equivalents.


• Ricochet probability on steeper angles of impact has been increased for medium and large caliber weapon systems.


• Shrapnel damage upon block destruction has been significantly increased.

[WARNING!] RVW mod drastically increases destructive capabilities of vanilla weapons.
Standart SE PVP and PVE balance system will no longer be appliable after instalation of RVW mod.

the exception to the measurement though is the gatling gun, It used to be called 25x184mm nato ammo container

SE does have specific calibers it uses, iirc gatling guns use "25x184mm" The artillery gun is 125mm, and the assault cannon is 55mm. all this info comes from the space engineers wiki so take it with a grain of salt, but their reasoning for the measurements is fairly sound by using small grid block measurements to figure out their caliber

Autocannon would be similar to what's fitted on modern day IFVs, usually 30 or 35mm. So 40mm would fit.
20mm is a typical gatling gun. Both the Phalanx CWIS and the M61 aircraft gatling have that calibre. Their Soviet equivalent would be the 23mm revolver cannon mounted on a wide variety of Soviet ships and aircraft (though there are of course others, like the 30mm on the A-10 and Goalkeeper, and the 7.65mm and 12.5mm on some helicopters and SPAAGs).

i always saw the autocannons as 20mm. 40mm guns are more around the assault cannons size

COHawkDriver we are testing and polishing out the last things. The new version will be uploaded as a separate mod and the link will be posted here

@Soumagnei When do you think the full released version is coming out? For that, the hand held weapons bug is sort of a small problem in the beginning of the game. At least for the basic weapons. All rifles require the 50 round mag and will not except any other mag.

@Razz We are at the final stage of creating RVW 2.0 and we will upload the mod this month probably (this version of the mod will be experimental). The handheld weapons are fixed as of now. Thank you for using RVW mod!

is there a way to fix the handheld weapons not being reloadable? seems a little game breaking and like you should atleast mention it in the mod description.

Hi everyone!
Just a quick update- the problem with handheld weapon mags originates from me making mistakes in code to make mags interchangeble between weapon types (all pistol mags fit all pistols, all rifle mags ffit all rifles)
Currntly this idea is scrapped and we are workking with @Krat3n on new version of the mod!

@Sahja Dhaumi I tested both rifle and pistol, but I believe the problem extends to any handgun. I can manufacture the weapons and ammunition, but I can't load the weapon.
