Tom's Skirmish Missions

描述
This pack adds brand-new, high-quality skirmish missions to Gates of Hell, designed to feel right at home alongside the official ones.

What began as German Liberation Skirmishes, created to fill the gap for German missions on the Western Front, has now evolved into a full multi-faction collection, featuring scenarios from both the Eastern and Western Fronts.

Featuring
✔️Bespoke maps – Each mission takes place on a custom-built map, designed specifically for these scenarios to provide an immersive and fun battlefield.
✔️ Doctrine Selection – Choose your doctrine carefully, as it will determine the reinforcements available to you.
✔️ Randomized Enemy Tanks & Emplacements – No two playthroughs will be the same! Enemy fortifications and armored units are slightly randomized each time, leading to high replayability and fresh challenges with every attempt.
✔️ Enemy Counterattacks – Prepare for counterattacks that will challenge your hold on objectives, providing that classic tug-of-war gameplay.
✔️ Difficulty Scaling – Like in official skirmish missions, higher difficulties mean more formidable enemy reinforcements, including more dangerous vehicles and well-equipped infantry.

Missions Included



🔸Counterattack at Mortain🔸
Relive Operation Lüttich, Germany’s desperate attempt to halt the Allied advance in Normandy. Fight through the chaos as you launch a counterattack on Mortain!

🔸Blood in the Lowlands🔸
Set during the chaos of Operation Market Garden, this mission takes you to the Netherlands, where you’ll face off against American airborne forces and a formidable mix of British and American armour.

🔸The Last Gamble🔸
A brutal Battle of the Bulge scenario where you command German troops in one of their final offensives.



🔸Overlord🔸
Break through the German defenses at Omaha Beach, push past the Vierville draw, and fight your way into Vierville-sur-Mer.




🔸Clash at Prokhorovka🔸
In the midst of the Battle of Kursk, counterattack against Germany’s armored spearhead as they unleash their latest equipment in the struggle for Prokhorovka.


Future Content
A fourth German mission, likely with a German environment, is planned for a future update. However please let me know of any other battles you would like to see.

broooo please add more missions they are soo good i was thinking something like kursk when the enemy reinfocments are only tanks/ armoured carries some points very flat map and the player most of reinforcments are just tanks PLEASE ADD TANKS SKIRMISH

@PyxelDust Thanks I'll check that out, it's possible it might be some coop weirdness as I didn't notice that on SP.

@Hylo yeah its possible that there is a machine gunner or some other infantry in the radar tower bunker :D

@Qm2.Maler-KGPil | Chris-FRA HLL was a massive inspiration so some areas definitely match closely, they got it pretty accurate overall so I used a lot of their general layout (but condensed a lot) as a base but obviously its also a real place so it was a combination of HLL, various other inspirations from other games or related GoH maps and scouring the real place on Google Earth a lot! Hope you enjoyed :)

On the overlord and counter attack at mortain only one objective would not capture. For overlord the radar hill capture point was bugged. I tried everything

Yes, we pretty much only play things on hardcore as it makes things more... fair. We found that until we took the village past the field it finally spawned enemies once we started pushing the last 3 points, not before. Most of the units had moved forwards to defend the beach leaving only a few tanks, infantry and field guns. All of which was rather easy to knock over as they weren't reinforced by spawning waves yet.

I've played all of the skirmishes several times with not only cheese tactics to win, but also without spawning one artillery piece to make it harder. I'm pretty familiar with what the spawn waves look like. Also, that spawn wave once you take the two beach points was devious.. and I loved it for that.

Something that is of note, I'm not sure if you have to check a box or something but the turret and AI manned MG structures didn't do any damage to enemy units. Hit markers popped up but nothing died or took damage. Shooting infantry with the turrets didn't kill any of them

@Nordic Paws That's what Blood in the Lowlands already is, minus more commonwealth representation due to the limited things available with the airborne DLC at the time. Its possible I might add a lot more UK units to this mission in future but nothing concrete right now.

@PyxelDust Thanks very much for your feedback! There should have been a counter attack after taking the two points at the beach and then they should pick up once you get the tank points near the village.

It's with intention that there is a slight 'lull' in combat between the beach and the main Vierville town area to sort of symbolise the Germans regrouping after loosing the initial beach defenses and failing a counter. However, the town should still be occupied somewhat with some enemies and vehicles (will change slightly depending on randomisation but should still be fortified a little) and then yeah then the last 3 points should be fairly fortified and with somewhat frequent counter attacks (again can be slightly randomised)

Not sure what difficulty you played on, I assume hardcore but if not, upping it to this will make it more challenging with more enemy waves and harder units :)
