Fight for dominance of Italy in this mod which seeks to represent the infamous Italian Wars of the 15th and 16th centuries! With 4 unique factions, decade-spanning wars rivaling the scale of the reformation's League war, and a unique GUI,

Featuring new Main Theme: Deus Ex Denario composed by Kyhler!

Some time after 1445, the signing of the Treaty of Lodi signifies the end of the Wars in Lombardy between Milan and Venice with Florence as the treaty's guarantor. The Most Holy Italic League is established to usher in a new era of peace for Italy. But peace cannot last forever in such a rich land...



The French have been biding their time since Naples was handed off by the last heiress of the Capetian Anjou dynasty to Aragon in 1442. Once the fate of Naples is sealed with the death of the aging Alfonso V, the French king may see fit to reunite the holdings of Valois-Anjou.

Likewise, the English king, should he manage to claim ultimate victory over France in the Hundred Years' War, may see a golden opportunity to reclaim the legacy of the Norman Kingdom of Sicily, leading to the formation of an Angevin League.



Though the recent acquisition of the Kingdom of Naples has increased the influence of the Aragonese realm considerably, King Alfonso wishes to leave the Kingdom to his illegitimate son Ferdinand. Whether his brother, heir to the Aragonese throne, chooses to honor the aging king's Will upon his death is sure to set the stage for the ensuing conflict.



The Holy Roman Emperor watches closely as trouble brews in Italy. While lacking the same investment in the south of Italy as the French and Iberians, the meddling of these outside powers in the Imperial lands of the north cannot be tolerated. Should the conflict finally come to a head, and the Italic League find itself in dire need, the Emperor may decide to rise to its defense.

This mod was originally made in 3 weeks as a part of the EU4 Modathon competition, Season 4 (Mar 2025).

I think it logic add for winer or italian war flag for occupation of Rome with out debuff for catholic.
Just add - set_country_flag = general_flag_Rome_flag in IW_setup.19, it's same what use in Fra and other similar mission reward.

But the Ottoman, France and England in the Italian league...?
