Maximum Difficulty Preset

A simple add-on for the base game that adds a preset for maxxed-out difficulty settings. Start a new game, enable New Game Plus, then switch over to "Maximal" difficulty mode, and voila! Instant on-demand suffering!

I know there's some debate over whether certain settings make a max difficulty run easier or harder, so I chose them based on past max difficulty runs and generally-accepted rule. Feel free to adjust them to your liking; this mod is mostly just to make the process of resetting the run after a fail quicker/more convenient.


hps files this modifies:
- helper_imgui_options
- GameStatsHandler
- MenuHandler
- helper_game
- GameDifficultyHandler

Also modifies:
- base_english.lang
- difficulty_settings.cfg

If you run any other mods that modify the above files alongside this one, it will likely cause compatibility issues.


Note that this is incompatible with any mods that modify difficulty parameters (such as Revision R or Survival); it's base-game only. It's also not compatible with the functional Skip Intro mod, but I modded this to account for that, so it shouldn't be necessary.

I haven't extensively playtested this because I'm no masochist, so let me know if you have any issues getting it to work.
