Lore
While Pertamite technology is legendary for its sophistication, there are some components that simply could not be beaten, carved, turned, stamped, or otherwise produced with hands and heavy machinery. Chief among these were integrated circuits, key components in the ever-escalating arms race between invader and invaded. Despite this, Pertam was already awash in these miniature marvels even before the Queen's death.
While asteroid mining had proven the more efficient way of obtaining gold, powerful cartels greatly limited supply, secretly hoarding thousands of tons to ensure continued profits. This measure afforded Pertamite gold enough value to found an extensive black market in the untamable void beyond the Moon.
The Court initially held a monopoly on this practice, simply because any ships that could make such a journey were too enormously expensive and difficult to build. This state of affairs did not last, however, and within a decade of the Queen's death, a dozen lords of the Bahih—those outside of the Court—commanded similar merchantmen.

@BenuT The original version of this creation was lost when my computer was unfortunately damaged. This version was remade from screenshots and corrupted files!
